The Divers Alert Network (DAN) is an international non-profit foundation which helps in difficulty and conducts scientific research aimed at bringing about greater safety to diving.  As a result DAN offers a variety of first aid training programs related to diver emergency ranging from DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries to DAN Medical Oxygen Rebreather (MO2R).  As a result of divers becoming more aware of the advantages of oxygen first aid we are offering a number of course over the next few weeks.

Tuesday 20^th July @ 6.30pm: DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries – Provides entry-level training in the recognition and management of possible diving related injuries using emergency oxygen first aid, click here for more info.

Tuesday 27^th July @ 6.30pm: DAN Advanced Oxygen First Aid – The course provides advanced training to existing DAN Oxygen Providers to use the MTV-100 and Bag Valve Mask, click here for more info.

Thursday 5^th August @6.30pm: DAN Automated External Defibrillation (AED) – Sudden Cardiac Arrest is one of the leading courses of death.  The course teaches you to recognise and care for sudden cardiac arrest.

Thursday 12^th August @6.30pm: DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries – Although serious marine injuries are rare, many divers experience discomfort from time to time.  The course teaches divers how to minimise these injuries where possible and to reduce pain and discomfort, click here for more info.

The courses can be run as a standalone course, although Basic Life Support Training is a pre-requisite for the courses as well as basic Oxygen training in order to complete the Advanced Oxygen Course.  Or there is the option to complete a combined course of either Diving First Responder (O2, Adv O2, AED & HMLI)  or Diving Emergency Management Provider (O2, AED & HMLI) click here for more info.
