Whats Diving in the Dive Centre....?

 

Well the conditions in this part of the world have held up remarkably well considering the recent weather!! Viz in Babbacombe was reported yesterday as 3-4m and likewais on Thursday night.

We will be trying to keep this up todate as much as possible over the winter!!

As many of you will already know there is a major concert in teignmouth on Friday and saturday night, the band Muse are coming home to perform on the Seafront!! So we will be restricted in our diving on Saturday...... however we now have some parking arrangements with Teignbridge so if you are looking to dive in the morning on saturday let us know..... we will probably sort the site to suit the divers who are coming!! As ever at the Diving Centre we are looking at deals for our members especially on Bank holiday weekends......

So....... For Saturday, Sunday and Monday 23-25 May 09 all current members will get free air fills for their personal cylinders!! obviosuly this will only apply to Cylinders filled at Teignmouth by us............

The forecast is looking good and we have 5m Viz at the Shore around Teignmouth and 8m offshore at Plymouth, with sunshine and low winds then we should have a great weekend for diving so give the centre a call or email us to get diving!!!

 

Last nights club night was attended by more than 40 people.... and was described simply as "Amazing"

Ian Thomas presented his revised "Making Blue Movies #2" with some new unseen fottage inclding a n argument between mickey mouse and Donald Duck at 100m + and filmed as part of the BBC Pacific Abyss series.... who says you dont get narked on Helium!! And finally Ian finished with some promotional footage shot by his team whilst diving with Humpback whales, I can only describe it as surreal!!

Once again we can only say thanks to Ian and envy the places he's been and the sites he has had the opportunity to dive whilst at work!!!

Bank Holiday and sunshine............ 5m Viz on the Lord stewart this morning, whatever next?

Lyme bay is showing good viz offshore so Bretagne should be good and the Rota on Monday. Inshore Viz has been reportede at 4-5m as well, and to top it all the sun is shining. Remember that members can get free air when they boat dive with us this bank holiday and w ehope this will be the warm up for a great weeks promotion of diving over the whitsun week at the end of May.

We stil have places on Sunday and Monday so let us know and come along!!!

Te guys diving the Scylla this morning jumped in and could see thewreck laid out before them from the surface...... what an experience and what a dive!!

Plymouth diving has not found the plankton yet clearly......
