evenings\, weather dependant\, we meet at a local shore dive site (general
ly Babbacombe\, but sometimes Meadfoot/Beacon) for our weekly club dive.
Our club dives are open to all qualified and dived up customers\, how ever throughout the winter months (October - April) you will need to be ei ther Night Diver qualified/experienced\, or on course with us in order to join. Throughout the summer months\, anyone can join and either fun dive\, join for course dives\, or hire a guide for the evening. Please note\, if the weather is favourable\, we will try for an evening boat dive as well as or instead of our club shore dive.
\nThese club dives are a great way to meet other divers and find buddies\, as well as a social way of spending your Tuesday evening. Booking is essential.

The gull ies and rock formations are home to plenty of marine life\, with the remai ns of small wrecks adding extra interest to the dive. A great site for exp loring at a relaxed pace\, making it suitable for beginners as well as mor e experienced divers. \;
\nThe SS Louis S heid is a famous shallow wreck lying just off Thurlestone Beach. In Decemb er 1939\, the Belgian cargo steamer rescued survivors from the torpedoed D utch ship Tajandoen before heading inshore to escape further attack. In po or weather and limited visibility\, she ran onto the rocks at Thurlestone and was eventually wrecked.
\nToday\, the wre ck is broken up but still offers plenty to explore\, including sections of the hull\, metal framework\, propeller shaft and three boilers. The wreck and surrounding reef are home to plenty of marine life\, including lobste rs\, wrasse\, conger eels\, tompot blennies and sea hares. At a maximum de pth of around 12m\, the Louis Sheid is a fantastic shallow wreck dive and a great introduction to wreck diving.
