The Ultimate Professional Scuba Diving Instructor Training Program!!

The PADI IDC is the worlds most sort after Professional Diving Instructor Training Course. Taking you from Divemaster to PADI OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor). Through the PADI IDC you will learn how to introduce people to Scuba Diving and take them all the way....... So they can get out of diving as much as you have!!

The PADI IDC (Instructor Devlopment Course) combines the 2 independant stages of becoming a PADI Instructor, the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. At Teign Diving Centre we have a variety of Schedules to complete the IDC from Part Time over several weeks to an intensive 10 day full time course.

The IDc program is an opportunity not only to learn how to teach Scuba Diving to the highest Professional standards but also to learn about the diving industry including marketing, sales and business principles.

At Teign Diving Centre we are one of the only Diving Centre's in the South West that have a full time Course Director, who actually owns and operates several Dive Centres across the region. This 20years plus of industry experience is brought to you throughout the IDC program, and our Centre's are continuously monitored to ensure we operate to the highest standards.

This means that not only do you as the student pass your IDC and are able to take the PADI Instructor Examination, but when you take that exam you are all but guarenteed to pass, (with a 100% record to date). Once you become a PADI Instructor you will feel confident in your skills to go out and teach first class courses and obtaining working posts throughout the world becomes easier!

Prerequisites: 

• PADI Divemaster rating or qualifying certification from another organisation
• Be at least 18 years old
• 60 logged dives (100 dives required for the IE) 
• Proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months
• Full Set of Diving Equipment

What it takes:

• Self-study – Knowledge reviews, quizzes, lectures and presentations
• Confined water – Skills review and assessment, workshops and presentations
• Open Water – Workshops, rescue assessment and candidate presentations
